We’re now officially A SUPERMOTO CLUB !!! That means we are now able to hire and run events at ANY TRACK allowing us to, and potentially RACE there as well !!! It’s a big step forward for the Sport we love, and we really join forces with lone wolves at NSW Supermoto Riders Club to be able to organize more events wherever we feel like riding. It’s really important you understand why we do this : Supermoto was big here in Aus back in the days, then slowly died…The NSW supermoto crew started a club about 8 years ago, but no one really wanted supermoto there. Despite the issues and closed doors for our sport, they managed to get us on track, and really they’re the reason we exist today. But there are only a limited amount of tracks and volunteer time to run these events.
By creating this club, we allow ouselves to run a different venues and try new things while keeping our base solid. We’ll see where that goes, but it’s purely for the love of our sport, our awesome people and outstanding community that we’re doing this. There are a lot of tracks we can ride…But limited time from all of us to make it work…And of course, there’s the politics and crap that in the end affect our sport. We’re not about that, all we want to do is ride, promote our sport, and keep our culture of fun, affordable, and keep riding with the top blokes we ride with and give our kids a sport and tracks they can get into.
There a lot of work involved behind the scenes. To start with, we want to put safety as our top priority. It’s in our best interest to ensure nobody gets hurt, even if it means breaking up speed here or there. Who cares, better to ride with a cone on track than not riding at all. We also want to bring back talented kids who can barely afford a road bike, but can rock up on a washed out MX bike with crap wheels yet beat the crap out of us. We want that kid to get to the next level and be visible via supermoto..Actually, few of the top guys in ASBK today and kids started with Supermoto. And also we want to promote our sport beyond our circle of friend : there’s a lot of sumos out there on the road.. You’d be surprised how many DONT KNOW WE EXIST. We need to change that.
Together we can make it happen. that means help flagging some nights, helping with promotion, even just TURNING UP. We can’t plan more if we don’t have your commitment.
Speaking of commitment : i’m deligthed that Matt Hambridge has decided to join us in running this club. He brings a lot of experience in managing businesses and funny enough his business MCH Excavations is all about dirt 
🙂 so expect a few killer sections hahaha. But seriously, thanks Matt for all you’ve done so far. Guys, we really have a shot here at becoming the most attractive/affordable sport in NSW and we need everyone’s help in growing our community and YOUR club.
We will share details on membership, tracks etc..We also want to do a monthly online chat to bring you up to speed with everything, but for now we hope you join me and Matt with this initiative, we need your support guys, share this with your friends !
