You don't need fancy shoes !

Supermoto is a relatively cheap sport to get in.To get started for a track day, all you need is a bike, and a set of tyres that can handle road. We generally recommend you don’t invest anything on the bike until you ride with us the first time ! You will quickly realize your bike is good enough, and if it’s not you then have a chance to put money where it counts ! If you plan on racing though, look at our racing section as there is more you need to do to your bike to be compliant. There are only a handful of mandatory things you need to know

Sliders

Peg sliders are mandatory. They protect the track and your bike in case of a fall. You can buys them online either on ebay, or via Big Knob or Axle Sliders

Axle Sliders are also mandatory. the help protect your bike and the track in case of a fall. You can also use skateboard wheels, and a steel rod from bunnings if needed.

Where to get them

Handlebars protectors

Handlebars protectors are the first thing that touches the ground if you take a dip. They protector your hands and handlebars from further damage. On dirt sections, they also protect your hands from dirt. Worth investing in a good pair as the cheap ones will bend first crash

Catch-Can

A Catch-Can purpose is to collect your fluids so they don’t end up on track causing danger for others. The idea is to re-route:

  • Oil
  • Fuel
  • Water

On modern bikes however, the oil could be left routed in the airbox as it gets burnt anyway and potentially could throw a sensor off. The fuel and water though definitely need to be routed from the overflow to the can.

The can can be anything from a red bull can to a fancy aluminium bottle. Don’t forget to drill an additional hole so you don’t pressurize your system !
